THE CRAFT-FIRST PHILOSOPHY
Blends & Shaves was founded by Rae the Barber, aka DJ Krazee Rae on the turntables and in the streets. Born in the Bronx and raised in Yonkers, Rae came up in the birthplace of hip-hop, where a sharp fade and a sharper mixtape were both a way of life. He is also the founder of Blend Bangerz. He carries that culture into every cut at 821 Charles St, Providence, RI 02904, built on one belief: a haircut is a signature of personal identity, never a "quick cut."
Before the clippers, there were the decks. A professional DJ and mixtape entrepreneur, DJ Krazee Rae built a name recognized far beyond Rhode Island, spinning sets and shipping mixtapes to fans around the world. He brings that same showmanship and precision to the chair: anatomical scalp analysis, seamless gradient blending, and a signature straight-razor finish.
A legend both in the barbershop and out of it, Rae has grown Blends & Shaves into the North End's trusted destination for precision grooming. He takes pride in serving hard-working families, neighborhood business owners, Smith Hill state employees, and students. Everyone from a toddler's first haircut to a classic straight-razor shave is welcome.

Marcos is our highly skilled, details-obsessed master barber. Famous for skin transitions and sharp razor edges, Marcos keeps his book busy with clients demanding flawless execution.
Jay
Barber Apprentice
Jay is our dedicated barber apprentice. Learning directly under Rae and Marcos, Jay executes incredibly clean fades, scissor cuts, and lines while maintaining our strict hygienic standards.
